Collaborate on presentations with a document workspace
You can create a document workspace that team
members can use for centralized storage and as a
collaboration location. Document workspaces are Web
sites that are provisioned for you to store documents
and document information, lists of links, lists of team
members, and tasks. Document workspaces rely on
Windows Server and Windows SharePoint Services,
and you must have access rights in order to create
document workspaces. Document workspaces make it
easy for you to work with others on your presentation
because reviewers are assured that the presentations
that they open are the most recent versions.
The Document Management task pane gives you a
view of each document workspace without leaving
PowerPoint to go to your browser. Creating a new
document workspace from the Document Management
task pane creates the document workspace on the
server, and then includes a hyperlink to workspace in
the Document Management task pane. You can add
members, documents, tasks, and links to the document
workspace from the Document Management task pane
in PowerPoint or from the browser.
1 Click the Office button.
2 Click Publish.
3 Click Create Document
Workspace.
The Document Management task
pane appears.
4 Edit the name of the document
workspace, as needed.
