Turn your presentation into an online resource
You can make your presentation widely available
when you use the Save As command’s Single File
Web Page option. The Single File Web Page format
allows users to double-click the file and then see a
Web-based presentation that displays Outline, Notes,
and Presentation panes. Viewers can easily navigate
between all of the slides as well.
After you have used Save As to convert your
presentation to the Single File Web Page format, you
can post the resulting file on a file server, an
intranet, or Internet Web server for anyone to access
and view. Users can double-click the file from an
e-mail message or network location to open their
browser and load the presentation. When users click
a link to the presentation, they are prompted to open
the presentation in their browser, or save it to their
computer’s hard drive. The ability to save the entire
presentation to the hard drive makes the Single File
Web Page format an attractive way to distribute your
presentations.
1 Click the Office button.
2 Click Save As.
The Save As dialog box appears.
3 Navigate to the folder in which
you want to save the online
presentation.

presentation for use in a
Web browser.

which you saved your
browser-based
presentation.

If so, click the pane, click Allow Blocked
Content, and then click Yes.
The online presentation opens in the
browser.
Did You Know?
You can create HTML pages instead
of Single File Web Pages. The HTML
option creates a single Web page
for each slide. To save a
presentation as HTML, follow Steps
1 to 3 above, and then in Step 4
select Web Page. Proceed with Step
5. A folder is created that contains
the HTML pages and a separate
graphics folder.
Change It!
You can change the title that
appears in the browser’s title bar.
After Step 4, click Change Title. In
the Set Page Title dialog box, type
the new page title in the Page title
field. Click OK, and then proceed
with Step 5.
