Show relationships with organization charts

Show relationships with organization charts

You can show relationships between employees when
you insert an organization chart into your slide. An
organization chart is a hierarchical SmartArt graphic
that uses shapes to represent team members, and
connectors to illustrate the relationships between
them.

Using a SmartArt organization chart saves time
because it not only creates a sample organization
chart for you, it makes it easy to add or remove
subordinates, co-workers, or assistants at the
appropriate levels in the organization. It also resizes
the chart automatically as the number of represented
employees grows. Changing the names on
organization charts is easy because all you have to
do is click the shape and start typing, or use the
separate SmartArt text window.

You can also rearrange team members on the
organization chart by clicking and dragging their
shapes to the desired location. Colors for shapes
and the text used on them are determined by the
design theme used on your slide. When you are not
editing the organization chart, it appears on your
slide as the SmartArt Object so you can freely add
and edit text and graphics around it.
